Belarus presented Poland with the in-depth information on its future nuclear power plant, BelTA learnt from Director of the General Directorate for Environmental Protection EIA Department of Poland Ryszard Zakrzewski. The Polish representative took part in the public debates on the environmental impact assessment (EIA) of the future Belarusian nuclear power plant in Warsaw.

In his words, the Belarusian side provided full information concerning the construction and use of the future nuclear power plant.

According to Ryszard Zakrzewski, Russian reactors that are planned for the Belarusian NPP are state-of-the-art equipment that meets all safety and ecological requirements.

The Belarusian delegation at the debates comprised specialists of the Energy Ministry, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the Emergencies and Healthcare Ministries, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. Partaking in the public debates from the Polish side were representatives of the nature protection department, scientists and ecologists.
