The Mogilevliftmash Company plans to export elevators to Slovakia. A preliminary agreement on signing the relevant contract was reached during the Belarusian-Slovak forum in Minsk, it was learnt from the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

At the forum Belarusian and Slovak companies sealed intents on cooperation in engineering, construction, energy and tourism. The Minsk Motor Plant will produce component parts for the Slovak company TC Motors. The two sides discussed a possibility of supplying the products of the Belarusian oil refineries to Slovakia in 2010.

In 2008 Mogilevliftmash produced 8,800 elevators, 26.1% up from 2007. The company’s product portfolio includes over 70 basic models of elevators, ten of which are exported to the European Union.

The Belarusian-Slovak economic forum took place in Minsk in September. Slovakia was presented by 14 large companies. In June 2009 Bratislava hosted the 9th session of the Belarusian-Slovak joint commission for trade, economic and sci-tech cooperation. The two sides agreed to set up a joint assembly facility for MTZ tractors in Slovakia.
