The Belavia national airline plans to launch new regular flights to Riga, Vienna and Yekaterinburg, deputy director general of the airline Igor Cherginets told reporters on 10 August.

The national airline is mulling regular flights to Barcelona and Greece as well. “It is early to speak when these flights will be opened. However we have ambitious plans and hope our airline network will be expanded soon,” Igor Cherginets said.

The company’s fleet renewal secures regular flights and their frequency. Thus, in early August Belavia acquired another Boeing 737/500. Today the company has four Boeing 737/500, three Boeing 737/300, three CRJ 100/200LR, four TU-154M and one TU-134.

Founded in 1996, the Belavia national airline accounts for nearly 65% of the Belarusian air transportation market. The company makes regular flights to 20 countries. The Belarusian national airline meets all international security standards.
