Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the Frantsysk Skaryna Gomel State University on the 80th anniversary. 

The Head of State noted that the university is one of the leading regional centres of higher education. It has rich educational, scientific and cultural traditions. The powerful intellectual potential allows the university to conduct research in the history and culture of the East Slavs , ecology and other important problems, develop scientific-educational schools.
