The contract on the supply of the Ukrainian electric energy to comes into force on June 12, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky said as he met with Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoschenko in Kiev on June 12. 

According to Sergei Sidorsky, “it is another way to boost Belarusian-Ukrainian relations”. 

Yulia Timoschenko said that and can actively cooperate in the issues of ’s electric energy supplies to other countries. “We can do a lot in the joint export of the electric energy to other states,” the Ukrainian Premier stressed. 

First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko has earlier informed that the contract on the supplies of the Ukrainian electric energy to was signed in May 2009. In his words, is ready to import 750 million kWh of Ukrainian energy in 2009.
