The Belarusian export to has fallen as the capacity of the Russian market is shrinking, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia in Belarus Alexander Surikov told a press conference on June 11 in Minsk . 

“I would not describe the issue with the access of Belarusian producers to the Russian market as some petty scheming or failures. What can we do if the consumer demand is low,” Alexander Surikov said. 

Speaking about the decrease in the export of Belarusian vehicles, the diplomat said: “I understand why MAZ is unhappy. But the demand for KamAZ vehicles has plummeted almost 80%. “Customers have crossed out KamAZs and MAZs from the list of immediate purchases. We need to take a realistic view of today's market. It is impossible to restore the market immediately,” the Russian diplomat said.
