Russian regions are interested in setting up joint ventures to manufacture Belarusian agricultural machinery, deputy head of government of the Republic of Mordovia , Minister of Agriculture and Food Vladimir Sidorov told a press conference on June 3.  

He noted that the establishment of joint ventures and integration of businesses seem quite promising. A branch of the Minsk Tractor Works has been set up in the Republic of Mordovia . “We assemble 5,000 tractors a year already. In 2009-2010, we plan to manufacture as many as 10,000 tractors,” he said. 

The Industry Minister of has recently met with Mordovia senior officials to discuss a possibility to set up joint ventures manufacturing farm machines of other Belarusian enterprises, Vladimir Sidorov said.
