Belarus and India are busy gearing up for the opening of a sci-tech laboratory, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Belarus Manoj Kumar Bharti told media on 13 August.

A delegation of India is currently in Belarus to discuss the opening of the laboratory and other joint research centers in new sectors of technologies, among which are laser, nano, biotechnologies and others. The diplomat also took note of the increasing cooperation between Belarusian and Indian IT companies.

“In my opinion it is high time we launched joint projects in the area. Belarusian IT companies have recently increased their contacts with Indian partners. We issue more business visas to the representatives of the Belarusian IT industry and hope that this activity will make a so-called snowball effect, since the IT sector in Belarus has considerably grown over the past two years. It is time we cooperated for maximization of the revenue,” the Ambassador stressed.
