New trams manufactured by Belkommunmash will be delivered to Samara, Russia. Six trams are now being tested in the streets of Samara, the other two will be shipped in the nearest future, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Embassy in Russia.

However, BKM-62103 will not be put in operation immediately. At first all the trams need to travel at least 100km so that specialists will make sure they have no defects. Now the trams are being tested jointly with the manufacturer. All the trams will be put into service at once, although some of them have already been tested.

BKM-62103 is a low-floor energy-efficient tram. It consumes two times less electric energy compared to old-timers. The tram boasts great anticorrosion resistance and increased comfort for the driver: the driver's cabin is equipped with a conditioner, an adjustable seat that suppresses vibration, a full-scope windshield and electric mirrors.
