(BelTA) – Belarus plans to once again consider the possibility of floating eurobonds in September 2013, Belarusian First Deputy Finance Minister Vladimir Amarin told media on 29 July.

“July-August is the time of vacation. We will take a look in September when the market opens,” noted Vladimir Amarin.

Earlier the Belarusian side announced its intention to float at least $500-600 million worth of eurobonds in 2013 as the third issue. The specific figure will depend on how much finance Belarus needs and on what investors offer. Europe and Asia have been mentioned as the possible venues for floating the bonds. The British company VTB Capital plc and the Russian company ZAO Sberbank CIB are the organizers of the roadshow and the issue of Belarusian eurobonds.

In summer 2010 Belarus floated €1 billion worth of eurobonds with the maturity period of five years. In winter 2011 Belarus floated €800 million worth of eurobonds with the maturity period of seven years.
