Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent greetings to the 5th national conference of the Belarusian Union of Women and congratulated them on the 20th anniversary of this public association, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

“Your many-thousand organization is engaged in every sphere of life. You are not indifferent to socially important events and always take an active position. And today you have gathered to discuss the issues of current importance, i.e. raising the status of women in the society, strengthening the family institution, upbringing children, preserving and developing spiritual and moral values,” the message of congratulations says.

The head of state expressed confidence that the activity of the Belarusian Union of Women would promote further social and economic development of the Republic of Belarus.
