Over the past five years Belarus has advanced to the list of top five global suppliers of milk and dairy products, Minister of Agriculture and Food Mikhail Rusyi told reporters.

Belarus accounts for 4.8% of the global exports of dairy products, 9% of cheese, and 7-8% of butter and milk.

In the last five years Belarus has also made it to the top ten exporters of agricultural products.

Eighteen programs for the development of agriculture in the next five years have been developed on the orders of the head of state. Particular attention will be given to cattle breeding, Mikhail Rusyi said.
