Interior Minister of Belarus Vladimir Naumov will go to Qatar on a working visit, BelTA learnt from the information and public relations department of the Interior Ministry of Belarus. “Vladimir Naumov will be in Qatar on February 24-28. The Belarusian Interior Minister is set to meet with Minister of State for Internal Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Abdullah Bin Khalid Al-Thani to discuss bilateral cooperation in 2009,” BelTA was told in the Interior Ministry. The sides will discus the course of implementation of the memorandum of understanding between the governments of the two countries on cooperation in security issues and elaborate concrete proposals on further development of bilateral relations in law-enforcement area. The sides plan to sign a contract for training of interior security specialists of Qatar in the educational establishments of the Interior Ministry of Belarus. The sides will also discuss the opportunities to promote interaction in training of personnel for investigation, forensic and migration services, criminal police of the Ministry of the Interior of Qatar. The memorandum of understanding between the government of the Republic of Belarus and the government of the State of Qatar on cooperation in security was signed in Minsk on August 24, 2008. Then the Minister of State for Internal Affairs was in Belarus on a visit. A delegation of the Interior Ministry of Belarus led by Vladimir Naumov visited Qatar in spring last year.
