The deal on the Naftan-Polimir sale can be closed in the near future, First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko said during ameeting with chairman of the Board of director of the Russian Sberbank German Gref.

“We expect that the deal on Naftan-Polymir will be concluded soon either with Lukoil or some other company,” Vladimir Semashko said.

“We have long had all arrangements in place, and we have been looking for an investor for this project,” the First Deputy Prime Minister noted. According to Vladimir Semashko, a potential investor should have enough assets to implement the investment agreement. He should also have relevant resources to ensure that the enterprise could operate at the full capacity. Additionally, the issue regarding the export of products should be settled.

“Russian investors would be the best option for us,” underlined Vladimir Semashko.
