The Stepanov Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus intends to supply laser equipment to India, it was learnt from Vitaly Plavsky, deputy director of research of the Stepanov Institute.

“The institute has already signed the relative contract with one of the Indian institutes,” the deputy director underscored. At present, researchers are developing laser equipment for India. It is rather long process. The equipment is expected to be supplied to India in 2011.

According to Vitaly Plavsky, the laser equipment can be used for determination of contaminants concentration level in the air and distance measurement.

Researchers of the Stepanov Institute develop up-to-date laser sources, study nonlinear dynamics of multi component structures, optical methods of diagnostics of natural sites and biological environment.
