News Czech investors implementing dozens of projects in Belarus
Czech investors are implementing dozens of projects in Belarus, Deputy Industry and Trade Minister of Czechia Milan Govorka told media on 2 December. Those are joint projects in the chemical industry, power engineering and other areas. Milan Govorka stressed that Czechia is interested in enhancing the bilateral relations in industry, trade, science and technology. “Energy industry cooperation between Belarus and Czechia has been vigorously developing: our specialists participate in the construction of hydropower plants,” remarked the official. The possibility of Czech companies’ participation in the nuclear power plant construction in Belarus was discussed. Czech companies could supply equipment to the nuclear power plant, too. Czech technologies are used by Belarusian manufacturers of buses and trolleybuses. Cooperation in the chemical industry is developing, in particular, at the Novopolotsk-based oil refinery Naftan. Czech investors participate in modernizing Belarusian enterprises, for instance, BelAZ and MMZ, by supplying a variety of equipment.
