Belarus and Syria have signed the programme on cooperation in the tourism area for 2010-2012, it was learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

The document was signed during a visit of the Belarusian delegation to Syria. Members of the Belarusian delegation presented the tourist possibilities of Belarus including the sanatorium-resort therapy for representatives of the Syrian travel business. The Belarusian delegation also met with representatives of Lebanese travel companies. The sides discussed the organization of health improvement and recreation programmes for their citizens in Belarus and Lebanon.

During the visit, the Belarusian National Olympic Committee and the Syrian Olympic Committee signed the memorandum on cooperation.

Belarus and Syria have agreed on cooperation between sports educational establishment including the retraining programmes for Syrian coaches in Belarus, students’ exchange programmes.
