An international forum on banking information technologies, Bank IT-2009, opened in Minsk on 18 November.

Taking part in the forum are experts from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Italy, and India. The program of the forum includes plenary and breakout sessions, discussions and round table conferences, which will highlight the problems of information support of the financial and credit area. The participants of the forum are set to consider the basic goals and the role of the information technologies in the banking system of Belarus, their concept, trends and strategy of their development amid the financial crisis.

Taking part in the forum will be heads of banks and financial institutions, specialists in development and use of banking IT, representatives of the IT and software companies.

The forum is organized by the National Bank of Belarus, the Infopark sci-tech association, and the Association of Belarusian Banks.
