News FEZ residents will retain privileges after Customs Union comes into force, Kobyakov says
After the Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan comes into force, resident companies of the Belarusian free economic zones will have the same preferences as they used to including customs privileges, Vice-Premier of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov told a press conference on 13 November. “Resident companies of the free economic zones will be working in the same conditions as they used to. As for optimization, we are working on certain agreements. However, the regime which we have defined for resident companies and its invariability within seven years since a company is registered will remain in place,” Andrei Kobyakov said. The invariability of the regime of operation of resident companies of free economic zones within seven years is envisaged in the relevant president’s decree, and these issues will be addressed “with observance of all the obligations and responsibility of the Belarusian state before partners.”
