Russian companies Lukoil and Rosneft are ready to take part in privatization of Naftan, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky told reporters on 12 November.

“We have an investment offer from Lukoil and Rosneft concerning the participation in the privatization of Naftan and Polimir,” said Sergei Sidorsky.

The Belarusian side has proposed to include the supplies of oil products and the construction of a new pipeline into the elaboration of the project. According to the Prime Minister, there are good prospects for coordination of supplies of oil and oil products. Speaking about the customs duties, Sergei Sidorsky said that the relevant talks are being held between the Finance Ministers of Belarus and Russia. Given the existence of the Customs Union since 1 January 2010 (if the presidents of Belarus Russia and Kazakhstan make such a decision), all the check points within the Union will be abolished since 1 July 2010. In H1 2010, Belarusian and Russian experts are set to continue the discussion of terms of oil supplies, taking into account the establishment of the Customs Union.
