Representatives of ten Belarusian companies are set to visit Georgia on 11-15 November, it was learnt from chief specialist for foreign economic links of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Tatyana Dubova.

The delegation will include representatives of Minsk Electrotechnical Plant, the Pinsk artificial leather plant, Belshina, MAZ-Kupava and other enterprises. The delegation will be led by BCCI Chairman Vasily Romanov.

According to Tatyana Dubova, it is the first time the BCCI has arranged a visit of the Belarusian business circles to Georgia. In 2008 the BCCI and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia signed a cooperation agreement after which Georgian businessmen to Minsk.

The Belarusian delegation is to visit two cities: Tbilisi and Poti. The businessmen of the two countries are set to hold talks. The Belarusian delegation has plans to visit some Georgian enterprises, the port of Poti and meet with Georgian officials.

The visit is aimed to step up trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Georgia, forge new partnerships, and establish various forms of mutually beneficial cooperation. The visit is arranged by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia.
