Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan to sign Customs Code in Minsk 27 November

The Customs Code of the setting up Customs Union of Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan will be signed in Minsk on 27 November. It was stated by Chairman of the Belarus State Customs Committee Alexander Shpilevsky after a session of the CIS Council of the Heads of Customs Bodies in Kazan (Russian Federation) on 9 October, it was learnt from the press service of the Russian Federal Customs Service.

Chairman of the Russian Federal Customs Service Andrei Belianinov noted that the document will come into force since 1 January 2010. According to him, the three countries have already unified 95% of the customs tariffs.

“Starting 1 July 2010 the Customs Code will be ratified by the governments of the countries – members of the Customs Union,” Chairman of the Kazakh Customs Service Kozy-Korpesh Karbuzov added.
