Businessmen from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province of Poland are interested in developing trade, economic and investment contacts with the Belarusian regions. The statement was made during a Belarusian-Pomorskie business meeting attended by representatives of the Mogilev oblast. The meeting took place in Bydgoszcz, the administrative center of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, it was learnt from the Consulate General of Belarus in Gdansk.

The delegation of the Mogilev oblast led by Consul General of Belarus in Gdansk Ruslan Esin included representatives of the oblast executive committee, the Mogilev office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, several Mogilev companies.

Attending the forum from the Polish side were the authorities of Bydgoszcz, the regional and construction chambers of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province, nearly 20 wholesale organizations and travel agencies. According to Vice President of Bydgoszcz Wojciech Nowacki, strengthening the links between the regions helps establish direct contacts not only between the administrative units and towns but, first of all, between businessmen.

Belarus has offered to develop cooperation between Shklov and Bydgoszcz and sign an agreement on cooperation between the Mogilev office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the regional chamber of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Province. Representatives of the Mogilev wholesale organizations have been invited to get familiar with the goods produced in the Mogilev oblast and negotiate with the Belarusian producers.

The two sides have agreed on developing a joint information resource on recuperation in Belarus and organizing a tour of the Mogilev oblast for Polish travel agencies and mass media.

While in Poland, the delegation of the Mogilev oblast is also set to meet with businessmen of the Pomorskie Province and Gdansk.
