Investment agents – a new institutional mechanism of the investment activity will be launched in . On 6 August, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed decree No413 ‘On authorization individual and juridical persons to represent the interests of the Republic of Belarus in attracting investments in the Republic of Belarus ’, it was learnt from the presidential press service. 

The decree is aimed at improving the organizational work with foreign and national investors, promoting the investment attractiveness of the country. 

The investment agent can be identified both natural and juridical persons including non-residents of the Republic of Belarus. 

The investment agent status can be granted to the person who has experience to prepare investment projects to be carried out, who has personal business qualities to hold negotiations with top management of big companies. 

The decision on authorization of an investment agent to represent the interests of the Republic of Belarus is taken by the Belarus Government.
