The Belarusian dairies are slow to get their products certified with Russian standards, Vice Premier of Belarus Ivan Bambiza said during a session of the Council of Ministers on 28 July. 

According to him, the issues of getting Russian certificates for dairy products remain unsettled by the companies from almost all oblast. “We are concerned that this work will not be completed by 1 August,” said Ivan Bambiza. He reminded that the heads of dairies will be held responsible for the disruption of the certification schedule and sales. 

The certification has been almost completed in the Grodno, Mogilev and Vitebsk oblasts, Ivan Bambiza informed. “There are no objective reasons for failing to get the products certified. All necessary measures have been taken by the government,” Ivan Bambiza stressed. The Agriculture and Food Ministry, the State Standardization Committee and the Healthcare Ministry have provided the necessary assistance to the companies. 

Ivan Bambiza expressed hope that the Belarusian companies would be able to get certificates by 1 August. 

Prices and the sales of dairy products are monitored on a daily basis. The stocks of butter at warehouses are reducing. The warehouse stocks of cheese, dried milk, casein and dairy tins have stabilized. The supplies of whole milk products are increasing. A set of measures has been developed for every company to help eliminate warehouse overstocking.
