Belarusian light industry unites 104 subject-management employing over 120,000 people: 16 textile, 28 sewing, 13 Jerseys, 12 and 23 leather shoe enterprises. Companies manufacture hundreds of products over 5000 items, enterprises implementing the orders of foreign firms from 40 countries. About 46% of production is delivered for export. Exhibition "Bellegmash" - is one of the few events held in the CIS, where the equipment and machines for the apparel, textile and footwear industry, are demonstrated by the latest scientific developments and technologies in light industry.
Holding of this exhibition is important for the light industry of Belarus, as the exhibition makes it possible to move goods industry, helping to re-equip the production - technical base of enterprises, contribute to attracting domestic and foreign investors, saturates the Belarusian market with high quality consumer goods. In 2007, the exhibition was attended by more than 88 firms from 14 countries: Japan, Germany, Italy, USA, Holland, Switzerland, Iran, Israel, China, Poland, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.
