Gomselmash ahead of schedule in delivering machine sets to Kazakhstan

Gomselmash will fulfill the yearly plan of delivering machine sets for assembling grain harvesters to Kazakhstan by 20 August, it was learnt from director of the company’s marketing centre Vladimir Frolov.

Upon the agreement between Gomselmash and Agromashholding-Kazakhstan, the Kostanay diesel plant is to assemble 200 machines, up 3.5 times from a year before; 170 machine sets have already been dispatched.

“It was previously arranged that all the machinery should take part in this year’s harvesting campaign. The campaign in most regions of Kazakhstan usually starts in late August-early September,” said Vladimir Frolov

The Kostanay diesel plant assembles КЗС-740 Esil harvesters of Gomselmash. Such form of industrial cooperation reduces customs fees for the Belarusian company, while the partners get the licensed machinery which they can assemble using domestically produced components.

If the new harvesters receive positive feedback from Kazakh farmers, the production might be doubled in 2010. At least, this is what the both sides are planning, Vladimir Frolov said.

Gomselmash is a multi-business producer of machines to cultivate and harvest crops. The company’s line-up includes machines for harvesting grain, forage crops, sugar beet, potato, as well as mowers and machines for complex soil cultivation. The company’s designing, manufacturing and maintenance practices are certified for compliance with the international quality management system ISO 9001-2001. Today the company employs 17,000 people.
