Real wages in Belarus to go up by 20.3% in 2012

(BelTA) – A 20.3% increase is projected for the real wages in Belarus in 2012 (against the forecast of 4-4.2%), BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian government.

Over the nine months the growth is expected to make up 15.5%. The real income will go up by 17.4% this year as against the forecast of 3.5%.

Gross wages will make up Br4.4 million by December 2012 (over $500). The nominal wage in the public sector will reach Br3.3 million by the end of the year, up 15.5%.

According to the specialists, next year the real wage is expected to grow by 7.1% (8.6% in the public sector), with the labor productivity going up 9.3%. The real wage is expected to hit $600 in late 2013 ($500 in the public sector).

The increase in the real income is projected at 6.5% in 2013.
