Kupalinka opens into Yekaterinburg

Soligorsk-based Kupalinka has expanded into Yekaterinburg, BelTA learnt from the company’s Deputy Director General Valentina Timoshenko.

The shopping space of the retail chain store makes up almost 100 square meters. The Belarusian company opened up a logistics center in this Russian city last autumn. The store and the logistics center have been opened in Yekaterinburg to increase the exports to the Russian Federation. The amount of goods to be sold abroad in 2012 should reach 50% (it is nearly 30% now).

Kupalinka intends to open a trading house in Moscow in Q1 2012. First shipments are planned for February. The trading house will feature Kupalinka’s whole lineup.

In 2011 Kupalinka produced 6.3 million knitwear items (101% as compared to 2010). The company’s exports totaled almost $7.2 million (87.8%). The sales margins were 17.8% in January-November 2011 (with the 13.1% forecast).

The company was founded in 1969 and reincorporated into an open joint stock company in 1997. Kupalinka produces knitted fabric and goods for men, women and children. The company renews 50% of its assortment every year. The company employs more than 1,200 professionals.
