The Energy Efficiency Department of the Belarusian State Standardization Committee will sign the cooperation agreement with the Russian Energy Agency, Leonid Shenets, deputy chairman of the State Standardization Committee, director of the Energy Efficiency Department, told reporters on 3 October, BelTA has learned.

The document will be signed at the 2nd international conference “Stimulation and practical experience in raising investments by enterprises to promote the energy efficiency” on 13 October.

“Russian counterparts are interested in our achievements on programs, the legal framework. We hope that within the Union State we will implement projects in Belarus and Russia. I also hope that Belarusian manufacturers will be able to sell their products abroad,” Leonid Shenets said.

To date Belarus manufacturers energy equipment with the capacity of up to 7.5 MW. “We can sell this equipment today. It is as competitive and qualitative as similar imported equipment,” Leonid Shenets said.
