Alternative Digital Network (Atlant Telecom and Shparki Damavik brands) is concluding negotiations with a major western company to raise investments into the Belarusian telecom operator, BelTA learnt from Director General of the company Igor Sukach.

He informed that the decision to attract inward investments was upheld by the stakeholders and the company’s management. It took the company a long time to find an investor. However, the investment documents will be signed soon and the Belarusian company will get additional financing.

“The investments will help the company to strengthen its positions on the market, expand the clientele and offer new services,” the Director General noted.

“We have always bragged about reinvesting all our profits into business growth. But at the given stage these investments are not enough. The company and the stakeholders were facing a choice: to retreat into background and take some niche or attract significant investments. Our stakeholders and the entire company made an ambitious decision to follow the second path; we do not want to slip into background,” he said. At present, Belarus’ leading Internet provider is Beltelecom.

Igor Sukach noted that raising investments no ways means selling the company. “Investments are an instrument to increase the value of the company. We know how to make the most of this money on the Belarusian market,” he said.
