The European Union is ready to open a new page in the history of relations with Belarus, Maira Mora, head of the European Union’s representative office in Belarus, told a press conference on 21 September.

The forthcoming parliamentary elections in Belarus will serve as a benchmark. Maira Mora noted that economic assistance to Belarus is not linked to the release of political prisoners.
