The second international scientific and practical conference “The Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia: Today and Tomorrow” will be held in Minsk on 22-23 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian State Customs Committee.

Partaking in the forum will be customs officials of the Customs Union member states, the Customs Union Commission, academic circles and businessmen. Representatives of the European Commission will report on the customs cooperation between the Customs Union and the European Union. Partaking in the conference will be customs officials from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, and Poland.

The forum will begin with speeches of Alexander Shpilevsky, chairman of Belarus’ State Customs Committee, Andrei Belyaninov, head of the Russian Federal Customs Service, Serik Baimagambetov, chairman of the Customs Control Committee of the Kazakh Finance Ministry. They will report on the cooperation prospects and the development of customs relations in the Customs Union. Partaking in the conference on 22 September will be the Foreign Ministry, the Tax Ministry, the State Committee for Standardization of Belarus.

The second day of the conference will include a practical section and a round table. Participants of the meeting will focus on the export customs duties, VAT in the Customs Union, etc. On 23 September the parties will discuss the implementation of the international customs law and the national legislation, the improvement of the Customs Union legislation regarding the formation of the Single Economic Space, the cooperation of customs bodies of the Customs Union and the European Union.
