Belarusian pilots will take part in a Belarus-Russia military exercise in 2011, BelTA learned from the Defense Ministry of Belarus.

Belarusian pilots have already ushered in the 2011 season. In line with the tradition, the most experienced pilots of the Belarusian Air Force took off first. According to the Defense Ministry, Belarusian pilots are expected to accomplish a number of important missions in 2011. The Belarus-Russia joint military exercise is one of them.

Representatives of the Defense Ministry also added that special attention will be given to the improvement of pilots’ skills so that they could carry out air defense missions and pilot aircraft in difficult weather conditions. The 116th Guards assault airbase will concentrate on training young pilots.
