A session of the united council of the transport troops of Belarus and the railway troops of Russia will take place in Minsk on 23 November, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The session will table results of the Union State program for setting up a common system to ensure the smooth operation of railways in peace and war in 2010.

Attending the session will be top-ranking officers of the Transportation Department of the Belarusian Defense Ministry led by head of the department, Major-General Vitaly Kireyev. The Russian delegation will be led by Acting Commander of Russia’s Railway Troops, Major-General Oleg Kosenkov. Representatives of the Permanent Committee of the Union State, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union, Belarusian government agencies have been invited to attend.
