Extra revenues of Vitebsk Oblast budget close to Br52.6bn in January-September

VITEBSK, 22 October (BelTA) - Extra revenues of the Vitebsk Oblast budget were close to Br52.6 billion in January-September, the press center of the Vitebsk Oblast Inspectorate of the Belarusian Tax Ministry told BelTA. In January-September 2010 the Vitebsk Oblast consolidated budget received over Br3 trillion in revenues, 101.8% of the targeted amount. Budgets of all levels secured their targeted revenues. The national budget received almost Br1.6 trillion, 102.3% of the targeted amount, with additional revenues at Br34.9 billion. The local budget received over Br1.4 trillion, 101.3% of the targeted amount, with additional revenues at Br17.7 billion. Excise duties accounted for 35.3% of the oblast’s consolidated budget, VAT 21.8%, income tax 12.5%, profit tax 8.5%. This year the amounts taxpayers owe to the budget have shrunk by over 63% since January to make up Br7.5 billion as of 1 October 2010. In September alone the amounts owed fell by Br5.1 billion in comparison with late August. Corporations account for 96% of the amounts owed. Taxpayers that operate in Dubrovno District (about Br162,000), Shumilino District (Br277,000), Postavy District (Br376,000), and Braslav District (Br377,000) owe the least amounts. Companies and organizations of Vitebsk owe the largest amount of nearly Br3 billion. Tax authorities have recovered Br229.7 billion in amounts owed, 7.6% of the total budget revenues in January-September 2010. Nearly 465,000 taxpayers, including over 16,800 corporations and nearly 30,000 self-employed businessmen, contributed to revenues of the Vitebsk Oblast consolidated budget.
