Minsk and Chisinau have agreed to assemble Belarusian tractors at one of the Moldavian private companies, Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of Moldova Valeriu Cosarciuc said as he commented on the results of the visit of the Moldavian delegation to Belarus.

In line with the agreement, a private company will be involved in the implementation of the project. According to Valeriu Cosarciuc, the Belarusian partners asked to find a private economic agent for the implementation of the project in order to avoid bureaucratic hurdles. Moldova, on its part, will be able to avoid extra burden on its budget.

The Belarusian side is ready to present all necessary technical documentation to the Moldavian partners, share its experience and organize the assembling of tractors in Moldova.

According to Valeriu Cosarciuc, Moldova needs nearly 500-600 tractors a year. MTZ tractors will be delivered to the country’s domestic market and exported to Romania and other EU countries
