Gomel-Raton Free Economic Zone will present 10 investment projects at the Gomel Economic Forum, it was learnt from the economy committee of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee.

Potential investors will be proposed to set up the production facilities to produce soft roofing tile, facing bricks and other up-to-date construction materials which are not produced in the region. FEZ Gomel-Raton also intends to propose the production of toiletry goods for women and kids.

FEZ Gomel-Raton will propose the project on construction of a transport and logistics center (the cost of the project is more than €314 million), the production of large-sized zinc-coating metalware (the cost of the project is estimated at €37 million).

The Gomel Economic Forum will be held on 20 May. This year’s forum which major goals are to inform the business circles on the oblast investment potential and attract foreign investors may become the biggest in its history. The forum will present more than 100 investment projects. Minerals mining in the region will be among them. The format of special-purpose sections will be expanded as well. Businessmen will be able to participate in the sessions of five sections: “Tourism, Services and Trade”, “Construction and Energy”, “Processing Industry and Agriculture”, “Foreign Trade Cooperation”, “Scientific and Innovation Potential”. The previous forum included three sections.

The Gomel Economic Forum will be held for the seventh time. In 2009 partaking in the forum were businessmen, official delegations, representatives of the financial and consulting companies, companies and organizations from 22 countries.
