OAO BelAZ - Management Company of the BelAZ Holding Company has shipped the first batch of BelAZ-75131 dump trucks (130t payload) to Serbia, BelTA learnt from the company.

In July the Belarusian company won the tender for the supply of BelAZ-75131 dump trucks (130t payload) equipped with the Cummins KTA50-C engines and BelAz electromechanical transmission to RTB Bor Group (Serbia).

According to the company, the vehicles will be used at a copper mining and smelting complex in Bor. Ore reserves (running 1.5% copper) at the mine, which development started in 1903, amount to 90 million tonnes. The total reserves in the area reach 3 million tonnes of copper.

“These dump trucks are designed to transport rock mass at open mining fields under different weather conditions. They can be used at large industrial and hydraulic construction sites, motorways as well as in the processing industry,” the company said.

The BelAZ fleet in Serbia numbers a several dozens of vehicles. By the end of the year BelAZ plans to deliver 220t dump trucks to Serbia.

Founded in September 1948, the Zhodino-based mechanical engineering company Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ) was incorporated into a joint-stock company in 2010. As of October 2012 OAO BelAZ is the management company of BelAZ Holding. BelAZ offers rock haulers, frontal wheeled loaders and bulldozers, tow trucks, special vehicles for underground operations, heavy-duty trucks for metallurgy industry, and other specialized vehicles. BelAZ accounts for a third of the global market of rock haulers and is a leading global supplier of quarry machines.
