Indonesia intends to buy five BelAZ dump trucks with the carrying capacity of 45 tonnes by the end of August. The matter was agreed during a visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Indonesia Vladimir Lopato-Zagorsky to the Indonesian province of East Kalimantan, the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry told BelTA.

A meeting with East Kalimantan Governor Awang Faroek Ishak took place. The sides discussed the development of cooperation in mining industry, agriculture, and education.

The Ambassador visited the coal pit Palaran where BelAZ dump trucks are used. The vehicles were shipped to Indonesia in 2012. The Ambassador was made familiar with the operation conditions, the organization of aftersales service and deliveries of spare parts.

Measures to improve the effectiveness of operation of Belarusian vehicles were discussed during talks with the management of the company Belasia, which represents interests of Belarusian Autoworks (BelAZ trademark) in Indonesia as well as companies, which import dump trucks and use them for mining operations.
