Kazakhstan’s first energy efficient house built under Belarus’ project

A Belarusian project is used for the construction of the first energy efficient house in Kazakhstan, director of the research institute NIPTIS Vladimir Pilipenko said at a press conference on 12 July, BelTA has learnt.

“Last year our institute in cooperation with a design institute of Kazakhstan developed a project for an energy efficient house. There were some difficulties with the project expert evaluation because local builders were not entirely ready to adopt technologies and solutions used in Belarus. Yet, the construction has been launched. Thus, we are participating in the construction of the first energy efficient house in Karaganda (Kazakhstan),” Vladimir Pilipenko noted.

Vladimir Pilipenko said that Kazakhstan is also interested in Belarusian experience in prefabricated construction of housing. “Such construction is practically non-existent in Kazakhstan. Now they do only monolithic construction. When the temperature is 40° C below zero, the construction process is difficult and therefore lacks quality. That is why they are interested in our experience in this area,” Vladimir Pilipenko noted. The Kazakh party and the Belarusian institute signed a contract for development of solutions for engineering systems. There are plans for more contracts.

First Deputy Director of the research institute NIPTIS Leonid Danilevsky emphasized that Belarusian experience in energy efficient housing is also in demand in Russia. Construction of an energy efficient dwelling is underway in Belgorod. Leonid Danilevsky said that the Belarusian institute is engaged in quite intensive negotiations on various projects with other Russian towns.
